About M.A.C. System Solutions GmbH

Founded in 2008 by Thomas Priebe, Kai Fechner, and Goran Berkes, M.A.C. System Solutions GmbH emerged during a challenging period, just three months before the global financial crisis. Despite the timing, M.A.C. focused on developing technical solutions for data acquisition, control, and regulation in the maritime and industrial sectors.

In its early years, M.A.C. concentrated on creating innovative technological solutions. One of the significant milestones was the development and market introduction of SDBnet, a product tailored for the shipping industry. By 2020, SDBnet had become the core focus of the company, leading to the strategic decision to concentrate exclusively on this product. Consequently, other projects were phased out.

In 2020, Goran Berkes took full ownership of M.A.C., with Thomas Priebe and Kai Fechner stepping down as shareholders. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought new challenges, prompting M.A.C. to streamline operations, adapt processes, and advance technologically.

After navigating through the difficult years of 2020 and 2021, M.A.C. successfully established SDBnet in the market, boasting several hundred installations. Today, the company is a trusted partner, assisting customers in complying with emission reporting regulations.

In recent years, M.A.C. has expanded its reach through strategic investments in companies like M.A.C. Maritime GmbH and EnvService GmbH, and by establishing sister companies such as M.A.C. Networks GmbH. This diversification aims to better serve various customer groups while maintaining a sharp focus on core competencies.

Looking ahead, M.A.C. is committed to further innovation. In 2024, the company began developing its own hardware and new services focused on emissions reduction consultancy. This marks the next step in M.A.C.'s evolution, continuing its tradition of high-quality, customer-centric solutions.
