SPMnet - Shaft Power Meter
An on-board torque measurement system installed on a ship's propeller shaft is a crucial tool for measuring and calculating the power applied to the shaft. “Power” is an essential value to judge the performance of the vessel when combined with other parameter such as fuel oil consumption or ship speed. Accurate torque measurement is therefore of utmost importance.
The M.A.C. SPMnet torque measurement system is based on the technology of a Wheatstone strain gauge and does not require regular calibration due to their special construction and the use of high-quality materials. The system is designed to be operated even under extreme conditions, and the zero point remains stable over time.
Our experienced engineers ensure careful calibration of the system during installation, hence the accuracy of the measurement system can be maintained for several years without the need for regular calibration.
CORnet - Coriolis Mass Flow Meter
We are looking back to a long year partnership with maker “Endress + Hauser” and can guarantee attractive prizes, quick delivery and support. Before being sent to the vessel, each flow meter is configured for simple integration into our data logging environment.
The operating principle of Coriolis flow measurement is based on mass and fluid inertia, with no moving parts. This technology works regardless of the measured fluid's properties, including viscosity, temperature, and density. Consequently, calibration requirements are less frequent, even when using the same flowmeter to measure various fluids. Additionally, Coriolis flowmeters can be installed in tighter spaces than most other types of flowmeters or near pipe turns, as they do not require straight runs of inlet or outlet piping. Combined with reduced calibration and maintenance requirements, the cost of ownership over the equipment's lifecycle is significantly lower compared to other flow measuring technologies.
